Who we are

About Us

IntroVet hosts engaging and introvert-friendly continuing education for veterinary professionals. We strive to create a joyful, kind, and approachable environment for our colleagues to learn! We believe in providing high-quality, medically accurate, and relevant content, with courses chosen based on community requests. We’re a DVM-owned, woman-owned small business that loves supporting other small businesses and all the individuals out there caring for animals. We donate a portion of every course registration to charities who increase access to veterinary care.

No corporate jargon here. We’re not boiling any oceans. That would be bad for animals.

The role

About this Engagement

We are looking for an additional DVM to collaborate with IntroVet! Someone who understands what it’s like to be a veterinarian in clinical practice, because you are one. What makes vet teams anxious at work, what do we wish we could learn more about? What are our favorite (and least favorite) parts of the job? This role will help ensure IntroVet’s content and messaging remains deeply relevant and useful for our community. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with colleagues as a webinar moderator, conference leader, or speaker and sponsor liaison, after having some time to get familiar with us first.

Key Responsibilities

Content Review

Review course content and marketing copy for medical accuracy, relevancy, and grammatical correctness. You’ll ask: Does this make sense? Is it useful? What would make me excited to take this course? Does it match our brand voice?

Course Development

Research, conduct outreach, and work with future speakers to build new courses of all types.

Event Leadership

Get to know our community by serving as a webinar moderator and onsite conference coordinator (live courses happen on weekends).

Strategic Planning

Participate in strategic planning to ensure we are serving our colleagues in the best possible way.

(Based on experience level)

Assist with sponsor outreach, blog writing, market research.

Webinar and conference moderator

Greet audience members, run live Q&A, keep the program running smoothly. Address questions and give technical guidance. A minimum of two moderators are always present at each program. (requires weekend availability and would only take place after attending at least 3-4 live programs to observe and learn)

How it works

Typical Workflow

As a contractor, you’ll set your own schedule. Review course or marketing content on your own schedule, day or night, to ensure it is medically relevant, accurate, grammatically correct, and fits our brand voice.

On weekdays (as your schedule allows), we appreciate same-day responses to emails, to keep up with any assigned speaker or sponsor outreach and communicate about projects in progress. As needed (approximately 1-3 times per month, varied throughout the year), attend virtual meetings to check in with team members on ongoing projects, strategy, etc.

Live courses (webinars and conferences) take place on weekends. 10-15 per year.

Voxer (a voice note and texting app) is used for emergency/urgent communication only.

Is this you?

Who We Are Looking For

The Big Picture

If you’re passionate about helping your veterinary colleagues, consider yourself a lifelong learner, and want to make your corner of the vet community a little bit brighter, this job is for you!

Veterinary Experience

Actively working in small animal or mixed animal private practice (Preferred), OR recently worked in private practice, academia, or industry and is looking for a new way to serve the veterinary community.

Personality & Culture Fit

Joyful, kind, approachable, creative, and can appreciate a good pun! Highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented, on-time, and a consistent communicator.

Requirements & Skills

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • US-based applicant.
  • Experience with creative writing, scientific writing, and/or sales/marketing is a big plus. But at the end of the day, you’re a vet reviewing content meant to be ultra-useful for other vets! Your medical knowledge and lived experience can be as helpful as these more niche skills.
  • Editorial experience or a strong understanding of grammar and writing rules.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
  • Strong relationship-building skills.

Bonus Skills: Experience in coaching, teaching, sales and marketing, data analytics, copywriting, public speaking, or experience across multiple facets of veterinary medicine. None of these are required, but would give you a leg up in understanding other aspects of behind-the-scenes activity at IntroVet.
