COURSE DESCRIPTION

Small Margins, Big Results

In this FREE one-hour video course, we’ll come to understand how and when to consider radiation therapy to treat cancer. First, review the basics of each of the most common canine cancers, including diagnosis, staging, treatment options, and prognosis. Then, for each cancer type, review the various radiation treatment courses/options, including pros and cons, expense, and success rate of each. Understand which tumor types can be treated with radiation oncology and which cannot. Review real case examples to understand long-term outcomes.

Through this video, see how far radiation therapy has advanced. With stereotactic radiation, cancer can be treated successfully in as few as three visits.

IntroVet™ is proud to partner with PetCure Oncology!

PetCure Oncology was created in 2014 by the founders of Accelitech, the largest privately-held network of stereotactic radiation centers in the human cancer market. While SRS/SRT is widely available for treating human cancers, the veterinary field has a limited supply of advanced tech and services. What's more, traditional radiation therapy can require dozens of daily visits over a six-week period, and can cause significant side effects for pets. It can also present a serious logistical challenge for pet owners.

As SRS/SRT begins to emerge in veterinary cancer care, early reports indicate good outcomes and fewer side effects than traditional radiation therapy, and pet owners appreciate the reduction in daily visits to three or fewer.
