WEBINARÂ DESCRIPTION
A Strike-ingly Important Topic!
Aspen came in for an Eastern Diamondback bite. You gave antivenin, but she seems to be getting worse. What do you do next?
Snakebites can be hard to treat, and treatment recommendations are fraught with almost as many old-wives tales as science-backed therapies. Knowing what to do and when to do it is not always intuitive, especially in less common cases, like coral snake bites.
In this special 1.5 hour webinar - created ONLY for IntroVet Academy Pro Members -Â Dr. Kastenholz will walk us through how to recognize bites, what diagnostics to prioritize, how to treat, and what expectations to give owners. She will guide us through several practice cases and close out the session with an open-format Q&A session - bring your questions!
Dr. Victoria Kastenholz is currently finishing her residency at the University of Florida and is performing her research in both Coral and Pit Viper envenomations. She is passionate about teaching students and veterinarians about the foundations of treating snakebites, and we’re very excited to introduce her to our core group of IntroVets in this special members-only webinar!
Mark your calendars for September 22nd!
