We expect pets to begin slowing down as they age, but how much is actually normal? Osteoarthritis is a creeping disease that could be masking a lot of pain, especially in our cryptic kitties. This popular topic, presented originally in 2024 by Dr. Tamara Grubb, explores new screening tools and the importance of early diagnosis of feline OA. Viewers will understand approaches to management and learn about medical breakthroughs, including drugs like Solensia®, being used to effectively control OA pain. Special focus will be given to interpreting subtle clues in feline activity, and educating your clients to notice these changes.
In this one-hour video course, learn about the effects of OA pain on quality of life and new treatments to combat maladaptive, chronic pain.

Tamara Grubb, DVM, DACVAA
Dr. Tamara Grubb is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia with a strong focus in pain management. She is an anesthesia/analgesia consultant in small and large animal practices, a certified acupuncturist, an International Academy of Veterinary Pain Management member and an Adjunct Professor of Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia at Washington State University. She is co-author of two books, Anesthesia & Pain Management for Veterinary Nurses and Technicians and Analgesia and Anesthesia for the Ill or Injured Dog and Cat. Dr. Grubb’s favorite achievement is winning the Carl J. Norden Distinguished Teaching Award.
