In this 2-day virtual workshop, join two of the world's most renowned educators in anesthesia and pain management - Drs Tamara Grubb and Sheilah Robertson! On April 25th and 26th, this dynamic duo will answer the age-old anesthesia question, “what do I do when…. ?” Whether your patient has a heart murmur, elevated liver enzymes, active bleeding, pregnancy, a brachycephalic airway, or any other number of complicating factors, we’ll learn how to safely provide anesthesia and pain control.

We’ll also work through algorithms for solving intra-operative complications, practice pain scoring, settle debates on proper equipment care and cleaning, provide a list of pre-med protocols, safety checklists, and more. We’ll close out the weekend with a round of case challenges to put your new knowledge to work!

Highlights:
  • Troubleshoot and correct anesthesia-related problems, like bradycardia and hypotension
  • Level-up your current protocols with expert recommendations for pre-medication, sedation, multi-modal analgesia, and inhalant-sparing anesthesia
  • Incorporate safety checks and optimized cleaning and machine maintenance for safer, smoother anesthesia
  • Understand how to adapt anesthesia and analgesia for brachycephalic patients, c-sections, heart murmurs, and a variety of other underlying conditions
  • Do some anesthesia myth-busting, with a comprehensive review of drug mechanisms of action, uses, and contraindications
  • Put your new knowledge to the test, with case challenges to close out the workshop
