Join us on June 28th for a FREE, one-hour session on hyperthyroid disease in cats! We’re welcoming back feline specialist, Dr. Ashlie Saffire to discuss all things thyroid. After identifying classic and ‘apathetic’ presentation types, we’ll explore the different diagnostic options and compare risks and rewards for the four methods of treatment: medical management, radioactive iodine, surgical thyroidectomy, and dietary restriction. Then, we’ll adjust our monitoring plans to meet the needs of common comorbidities, so every cat gets the individual care they deserve.
Highlights:
- Find the quiet cases of “apathetic” feline hyperthyroidism that go unnoticed
- Know what comes next after unexpected lab results
- Get familiar with all your available tools: Total T4, Free T4, TSH, and when to reach for each
- Tailor treatment protocols to manage concurrent illnesses effectively
- Compare and contrast 4 primary remedies: surgery, radiation, diet, and medical management
