MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Andrew Greller, VMD, DACVO

 Dr. Andrew Greller is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist and the primary owner of South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology (STVO) since 2013. Dr. Greller graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his Residency in Phoenix Arizona, before moving to Texas to build his practice. He volunteers his services in a variety of meaningful ways such as free annual examinations to Guide Dogs of Texas as well as military working dogs at Lackland Air Force Base. He assists SeaWorld-San Antonio and the San Antonio Zoo with their ophthalmology cases as well. Dr. Greller and his STVO Team lead a popular CE Series in Central Texas, and we’re glad to welcome them to IntroVet!

Jed Darden, DVM, DACVO

Dr. Joshua Edward Darden (Jed) was born and raised in Lagrange, Georgia. He is a “Double Dawg”, graduating from the University of Georgia (Magna Cum Laude) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2011 and then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (Summa Cum Laude) in 2016. Following his Doctorate degree, Dr. Darden moved to College Station, Texas, where he completed a small animal rotating internship and the Cool Whip Willie ophthalmology specialty internship at Texas A&M University.

He completed a comparative ophthalmology residency at Texas A&M University in 2021. Jed enjoys spending time in the Texas hill country vineyards, watching football, and sampling tacos and BBQ. He loves trekking through National and State Parks, and spending time outside with his fiancé and their Wheaten Terrier, Millie. Oh, and of course he enjoys taking cat naps with their cat, Oli. You may remember Dr. Darden’s very popular presentation during our 2022 Free CE Day! We’re glad to welcome him back by popular demand in 2023!

Kevin Fritz, DVM, DACVO

Dr. Kevin Fritz is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Biology from the University of Kentucky (Summa Cum Laude) and then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine (Valedictorian). Afterward, he completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and an ophthalmology residency program at Eye Care for Animals in Tustin, CA. Dr. Fritz became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2013. He spent many years practicing in southern California before joining South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2021.

In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Fritz also enjoys research and has participated in 16 different ophthalmic studies to date including publications in the distinguished journal of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. Fritz lends his time as a teacher for many accredited continuing education lectures on various ophthalmology topics to veterinarians and residents across the county. Furthermore, Dr. Fritz gives back to his veterinary community, serving on the Ophthalmology Colleges’ (ABVO) residency committee as a member and co-chair.

Meredith Esterline, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Esterline is a Board-Certified Surgeon practicing in the Central Texas area. Dr. Esterline graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, before completing rotating internships in New Jersey and Tennessee and her surgical residency at Kansas State University. In addition to specialty orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, Dr. Esterline has performed thousands of spay and neuter surgeries, through non-profit HQHVSN programs benefiting Central Texas communities in need.
